Fun fact: I'm graduating college a week from tomorrow.
It's kind of surreal. I want to graduate because I'm so ridiculously burnt out on school that most days I want to jump out the window of certain classes. It's why I haven't posted here since November. I just had absolutely no energy left. But I also don't want to graduate, because I don't want to leave the dance program, and I don't want to leave my friends, and I'm just not ready to be in the real world yet.
However, there is a plus side to all of this. I'm going to finish my books, damn it. I have two manuscripts that only need rewrites and polishing. Both Summer of Betrayal and my Sleeping Beauty reappropriation are going to be finished, edited, and ready for me to query an agent. Although I'm probably going to use Summer of Betrayal to do so. Apparently people are really liking fantasy series these days, and since I'm planning on four of these puppies (and thank HEAVENS I already have number two mostly plotted and plotting for number three already started-- and a few vague-ish ideas for number four) I figure they're my best bet.
I'm going to have an agent and a contract to be published before 2010 is over. I will.
Anyone want to help me out with that? ;)
